Dear Ohio State Family,

My name is Houston Hickey. I am helping to start an event on campus called
St. Baldrick’s to raise money for childhood cancer research, and I hope you’ll join me.It’s really simple. Family and friends donate money to volunteers who agree to shave their heads. If you don’t feel up to shaving your head, you can still raise money or volunteer at the event.

But I can't expect you to shave your head without knowing
why I shave mine. I have been shaving for St. Baldricks
since I was in the 4th grade in honor of my mother, who had
non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at age 12. She was saved by an
experimental therapy, or I wouldn’t have been born.
I shave my head so that other children can be saved like her.

I’m guessing you, or someone you know, has been affected by cancer.
With St. Baldrick’s, you can join the fight on March 21st in a fun and easy way.
In order to register, please go to https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/OSU and click the Join Us button.
Also, feel free to email me if you have any questions:  hickey.219@osu.edu

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, and Go Bucks.

Sincerely,
Houston Hickey
