Are you mentoring an undergraduate neuroscience student who is pursuing a thesis project? This page outlines the step-by-step process to help you guide your student through the research thesis process.

- Discuss and Develop a Thesis Project
- Help Student Complete the Thesis Application

- Have Student, Faculty Member, and Dr. Charlie Campbell Sign the Application
- Follow the Link to Make an Appointment with Dr. Campbell for a Signature: https://neurosciencemajor.osu.edu/appointment
- Officially Apply via the Directions on the Application
- Once Approved, Enroll Students into your 4999(H) course via a Course Enrollment Form (Link to Form Found Below) and send the completed form to NeuroAdvising@osu.edu
- Mentor the student through the research process
- Mentor the students to create a thesis manuscript
- Help Student create a Thesis Defense Committee.

- Have the student submit the thesis manuscript to the committee members at least 2 weeks before the defense date.
- Request Thesis Defense
- Submit the defended and corrected thesis to the Knowledge Bank.

If you have agreed to offer course credit to a student working in your lab, please ensure that the student enrolls in 'Undergraduate Research Credit,' designated by Course Number 4998, by following the instructions provided at neurosciencemajor.osu.edu/research/research-course-credit-for-faculty.
