Sample 4-Year Plan for Pre-Medicine Majors (For Students Who Entered OSU AU22 to Current and are following the NEW GE)

Neuroscience is an excellent major for pre-medicine students. Below is an example of a 4-year plan for a pre-medicine neuroscience major based on requirements for admission to the OSU College of Medicine. Included are Pre-Medicine Milestones which denote extracurricular activities strong medical school applicants undertake. It is in your best interest to research the requirements at several schools to which you are considering applying to ensure that you complete all of the necessary pre-requisite coursework. Note that the plan is for students who hope to enroll in medical school immediately after graduating from OSU and, therefore, must take the MCAT by the end of their junior year. Students who intend to take a gap year can spread out their pre-medicine courses.

Please speak with an advisor to ensure that all of your General Education (NEW GE or LEGACY GE) requirements are met and that any AP or transfer credits apply.

This 4 year plan is for the NEW GE ONLY
