Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Post-graduation career plans: medical school and hoping to conduct research and provide clinical care in neurology at Nationwide Children's Hospital

Bio: Hello! My name is Vern. I’m from Greenfield, a small town in Southern Ohio. I enjoy yoga, grabbing coffee with friends, recreational reading, and playing the guitar. I’m a research assistant in Dr. Golomb’s Vision and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. I also volunteer at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. My campus involvement includes: member of Sound of Science a Capella group, Chemistry 1210 peer mentor, Buckeyethon team captain for Humanism in Medicine, and last but certainly not least, Neuroscience Ambassador. I’m so excited that I have the opportunity to guide our students into discovering how incredible neuroscience is here at OSU!
