Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Post-graduation career plans: gap year then medical school

Bio: Over the past two years, I have had the great pleasure of being a Neuroscience Ambassador. More recently, I took on a leadership role in the Ophthalmology Internship for neuroscience undergraduates. This has been a great responsibility and honor. I have been able to help other students navigate through the nuances of medical internships, as well as development as professionals in our weekly meetings. I knew that I wanted to give back to my major since it was through them that I was given the most rewarding opportunity, which was to work with a multiple sclerosis neurologist at OSUWMC. When I am not studying or doing research, I am volunteering at a suicide prevention hotline or playing with pets.
