Nu Rho Psi Walk to Defeat ALS

Walk to Defeat ALS Logo Graphic

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by the degeneration of motor neurons eventually leading to paralysis and death. The estimated prevalence of ALS is 1 in 350 for men and 1 in 420 for women with the median survival of 3 years from the onset of muscle weakness. There is currently no cure and treatment is limited to physical therapy and medications to slow the disease progression.

Money from this walk will provide care services to patients with ALS as well as fund research into this devastating disease. All are encouraged to attend, collect donations, or help out in any way possible! To join  Nu Rho Psi's team, go to this link and use the team name 'Ohio State Nu Rho Psi' or  make a donation to our team's fundraising efforts here, also using the team name 'Ohio State Nu Rho Psi.'
